I ship my own apps. I'm also the whole studio.
I'm Megg Gawat. I run Stealth Launch out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. It's a one-person operation — I ship my own products and I take client work building websites and mobile apps.
I've been writing software since high school. In 2009, as a freshman, I launched JustMegawatt — a content site with articles, stories, comics, images, videos, and programs. At its peak, it was getting 5,000–10,000 visitors a day.
From 2014 to 2022, I ran Megawatt Apps, LLC out of Sterling, Virginia. I shipped dozens of iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile apps.
Full-time work
While running Megawatt Apps, I worked at GoCanvas in Reston, Virginia from 2014 to 2018. I started as an App Builder, converting 500+ paper forms to mobile and publishing 100+ apps in the Canvas store. Then I moved to Technical Designer, where I built 200+ BIRT reports and a scripting language for Canvas forms. Later I became a Solutions Engineer, building custom client projects and writing API docs.
From 2018 to 2021, I was at ASSYST doing full-stack work — ASP.NET, AngularJS, SQL Server. In 2022, I advised on engineering at Vegpal, a vegan dating and friendship app. I led new features (friendship mode, feed), fixed bugs, worked on UX/UI and backend/database, handled user support, wrote onboarding docs, and interviewed and managed new engineers. I stayed on until late 2024.
Stealth Launch
I started Stealth Launch, LLC in March 2021. Now I ship my own products and take client work.
AYearAgo.Today is a gamified journal with around 5,000 members. Mental Math Champion is live on the App Store and Google Play — a mental-math game with Story mode, Training, Competition, and Fog Run, a math roguelite. It launched recently, so there are no ratings or reviews yet. Safe Pace is coming soon — a calm, local-first weight app.
I also built Why Stop Harming Animals, a topic-hub site for vegan advocacy.
Why one person?
I like the control. When a user emails about a bug, I'm the person who fixes it. When a client asks why we built something a certain way, I know the answer because I wrote the code.
I take one project at a time. The backlog can be as large as needed — if you need work done, reach out and I'll schedule you in the queue.
What I offer
I'm open to any software development work. More than a decade of experience. I specialize in web development, but I also have experience with mobile applications, game development, desktop applications, UX/UI, and automation.
Consulting, full builds, rescue work, add-ons — if it's software, I can build it or help you build it better.
You email contact@stealthlaunch.com with a description of your project, and I reply within one business day to schedule you in or answer questions.
What's next?
I'm finishing Safe Pace and getting it ready for the stores. I'm also taking on new client work. If you need a site or an app and you want to work with one person who'll see it through from start to finish, get in touch.
