Coming to Mac ยท macOS 14+
A book you can hold. Not a feed you rent.
Entryline is a macOS double-entry bookkeeping app for people who want true books on their own disk. One .entryline file per set of books. Optional password. No Stealth Launch account. No telemetry. Prices and balances stay what you typed or imported.
What you get
Books you manage, not feeds you chase.
Full-window home in Entryline Light or Entryline Dark. Accounts, categories, payees, schedules, forecast, investments, and reports sit in one layout with inline registers.
Cash, cards, loans, brokerages, and valued assets in one chart of accounts. Investments use FIFO lots and prices you set. No live quote API.
Project net worth from schedules and future-dated transactions. Chart and day table stay linked. Enter still requires you.
Import Beancount, KMyMoney, QIF, or OFX through a review overlay. Export Beancount back out. Files you pick; nothing is uploaded.
Home
Net worth over time, scheduled coming due, recent activity. The book opens in the same chrome you work in.
Accounts
Nested groups, inline registers, double-entry that refuses to unbalance.
Investments
Buy/sell, dividends. Market value lands on Home because you marked it.
Schedules
Skip when you mean to. The app does not auto-post cash.
Forecast
Account filter, export CSV. Quiet days carry the balance forward.
Reports
Trends, payees, balance sheet. Filter from the left tape. Export locally.
Import
Cut prior dates. Confirm before a single row is written.
Local-first
Encryption is AES-GCM via Apple CryptoKit when you set a password. The password is typed at unlock and is not stored by the app. Saved report layouts may live in macOS defaults on that Mac only โ they are not inside the file and they are not sent to us.
No live market quotes. No bank or brokerage sync. No budgets/envelopes yet. One operating currency per book. Schedules do not post themselves. macOS 14+ only.
